Great advice! I had thought that was the reason why, but was never sure. I tend to hook more than slice, so I have been lowering the tee, and been hitting straighter 85% of the time. This is proof enough for me. Many people and pro's say its how you grip. Well, how many pro's have their grip, thumb down middle of shaft, actually causes me to hook a whole lot more than with a "V" grip, where you make a V with your thumb and index finger and place down the middle of the shaft.

Then you're probably coming from too far outside on your swing. Your correct swing arc should be ever so slightly to the inside. Try to take a couple swings in slow motion and see where your downswing is coming from. If it goes outside the ball and comes back your probably going to hook it.

Is it a high arc of a slice or just a straight push? Does it go straight and curve off to the right or does it go straight to the right? How far forward in your stance do you have the ball?
