Usually 'the test ride' are open to anyone if you can spot this truck in Japan. The local fire fighter division has this truck to let people experience of the earthquake, and often this vehicle turns up a local event. Sometimes they go to a local school for an educational purpose of awareness of disasters. This clip was filmed in Yokkaichi, Mie at Hinaga Kayo Supermarket complex Summer festival, in August, 2010.
Obviously this amazing machine is programmable by computer, so it has some stored memories of the famous earthquakes in Japan, including Kobe earthquake. This simulator can perform some complex mixtures of the unique patterns of 'real' earthquakes. Not like just simple mechanical shakes like a fun ride at amusement parks.
