17 August 2009 - Lord Carlile of Berriew Margaret Owen & Rev Meader talk about Ashraf and the hunger strike that is going on since 29 July 2009. In front of the White House, as well US embassies in several major capitals there are several people on hunger strike because they are worried about their loved ones in Ashraf Iraq, where they were savagely attacked on 28 and 29 July 2009. As a result of the attack 11 people have been killed, 480 injured and 36 abducted who face danger of being returned to Iran in order for Iranian mullahs to slaughter them. Other than these 36 several hundred Ashrafis are on hunger strike too. Their relatives and friends abroad are so worried about them that they have laid their lives for them too.
American administration, by virtue of causing the present circumstances in Iraq and having 130,000 soldiers there, is legally and morally responsible for what has happened and can and must stop this humanitarian scandal and give those on hunger strike assurances that they seek to end their huger strike i.e. RETURN OF THE ABDUCTED PEOPLE AND PLACEMENT OF UN MONITORING FORCE TO PREVENT REPEAT OF THE SAVAGE ATTACK. Please help spread this word and get attention of those legally and morally responsible on this issue. Tell Mr. Obama and Mr. Brown that you care for what will happen to Ashraf residents.
