A Study of the Sun January to May 2009 , Solar Cycle 24

The International Sunspot Number, a daily record of grouped sunspot activity, extends from 1749 to the present,However in an age where computers can detect these new protospots or microspots that would have never been counted to begin with because you could not count what you could not see , Well you get my drift the data is being skewed . I have gone through the trouble here in this video of putting a snapshot of all activity from the year 2009 . I let you the reader decide if this is a load of bs , I only present you with the data and the facts

The Sun rotates, or spins on its axis, about every 27 days , 2 Sunspot groups made the rotation in 14 , H'mm
Blankest year ever PERIOD

Would Galileo Have Counted any these as Sunspots

1.1010 on 1-10-2009 till 1-18-2009
2.1011 on 1-20-2009 till 1-24-2009
3.1011 on 2-7-2009 One image only and group rotation of 14 days ?
4.1012 on 2-11-2009 till 2-22-2009
5.1013 on 2-25-2009 till 3-4-2009
6.1014 on 3-7-2009 till 3-13-2009
7.1014 on 3-27-2009 till 3-29-2009 group rotation of 14 days ?
8 1015 that also lasted less then a 24 hour period 4-21-2009
9 .11016 leftover from Cycle 23 Observation Period 4-28-2009 till 5-02-2009

The Last 2 Spots thus far this year I have analyzed Microspot 1015 that also lasted less then a 24 hour observation period and 11016 leftover from Cycle 23 Observation Period 4-28-2009 till 5-02-2009

Though I would hardly call it a Sunspot , Microspot 1015 was able to emerge on 4-21-2009 to break the string of 25 consecutive spotless days . Though from the looks of things a new string of spotlessness is about to begin. As with most other spots for Solar Cycle 24 within a 24 hour period it already is fading away . Its magnetic imprint identifies it as a member of new Solar Cycle 24.Rapid decaying taking place spot lasted for about a 12 13 hour window

11016 . The spot produced steady A Class X-Ray Flux and a Peak B Class Flare, The Spot is identified as being from the last Solar Cycle # 23. The X Ray Flux became elevated on 4-30-2009 and was measured till 5-2-2009 .

Total Observation Novenmber 2008 till May 2009

SunSpots 2009 January 10 till May 20 2009

It is all about how you count them and whom does the counting

  • @Kostly ... that's a good question...i wonder if increased electro-magnetic output explains the increase in "hot heads,"...lol...take care

  • @rkoliver1 Wrong its our fault cause we let them allow what they wanna do and us pussies didnt stand up to do anything about it.

  • You realize that you are lookoing at a low resoltuion white light image of the Sun, dont you? If you want to see magnetic activity on the Sun look at the full resolution SOHO magnetograms from MDI or the the National Solar Observatory SOLIS instrument.

  • The sun was quit because our heliopause(solar system) came into first contact with the interstellar medium. It's a highly energetic hydrogen cloud. It has superimposed it's self upon us and is the cause of globalwarming and all planetary changes. Once we are full emerced the sun will become highly energetic. WARNING!

  • I wonder what it's looking like now! It's gotta be ramping up in a big way. I notice the sun at around 6-7pm and it looks brighter and feels hotter. Big difference between atmospheric heat and the direct heat the sun throws off. I feel it's burning much hotter right now. Already this year has been breaking TTM records for temp.

  • Brantoc, No I have not, they sound cool, I got the Baby Glock because it was the smallest package I could find with 9mm hitting power and a decent number of shells in the clip which is 11. But it's not really that small, not like a .22 .

  • Just got a Sig P250. Small and really cool. Ever seen one taken apart? Amazing, and advanced.

  • HGSpaceTime, I looked into that warming of other planets thing, and it turns out that they are fairly coincidental. To do with orbits and such like. It seems that the Sun has been getting a little cooler, so it can't be anything to do with the Sun increasing radiation.

Here is a prediction for you, the next 4 years will be successively cooler.. If I win you buy the beers, OK?

  • HGSpaceTime, indeed!

  • @XMrAverageX Just something to think about, thanks for the chat .gota go to work.
