I love using topwater plugs for Trout in the Surf. The Ray was caught on a bait rig I had put out on a longer rod, I think it had a live finger Mullet on it. Thanks for the comment and good fishing. Nick

There's nothing like surfcasting! :)
I know you weren't popping for skate, just what did you expect to catch with that popper. Up our way (Massachusetts) you'd catch "Stripahs" or Bluefish.
