@fukizzo lol oh no I disagree with some feminists, I MUST be a Chauvinist. You do realize some Feminists disagree with EACH OTHER right? Well some of them agree with me. So what does that tell you? :)

@leegeorgeson Wow! That's some real chauvanism. I think you all miss the point of Levy's book, namely that mainstream culture has commodified women's sexuality to the point where women's "sexual liberation" is nothing more than soft-core pornography. And I this is clear from this fine video. I don't think Levy's argument is that we should censor anything but, rather, that we need more (and positive) representations of women's sexuality that don't buy into an adolescent male fantasy.

@7777S3V3N7777 Wait... How do you "change" sexist media without censoring it first? You have to change the junk values of our culture. How do you propse to do this? Most people would rail against the idea that things even need to be changed? I mean, look at a lot of these comments. Censorship is setting up healthy boundaries. I don't know if I agree with that or not, but I don't know what else can be done.

@leegeorgeson They "shouldn't" be mistreated for dressing sexy... Also, people "should" be nice all of the time. People "shouldn't" rape, abuse, molest, steal, murder, etc. These things are inevitable as well. What is the most civilized solution to the fact that women are sexualized and that this sexualization causes them to be targets of violence and degredation? Sigh... It's a deeper issue than the "shoulds" and "shouldn'ts". But, I applaud you for being good to your lady.

Sexuality for empowerment is both natural and inevitable. Women should dress sexy but only because its their choice. And they should not be mistreated for their choice to do so or to not do so.
I for example love it when my Girlfriend "whores" it up but she is her own woman and that is why I date her :)
