Trelleborg Sealing Solutions supplies a variety of seals for injection molding machines. An application example is the short stroke clamp cylinder. The sealing configuration in this consists of a number of wear rings in Turcite® and Orkot®, along with an O-Ring as a static seal with Turcon® Back-up Ring. The primary rod seal is a Turcon® Stepseal® V and the secondary rod seal is a Turcon® Stepseal® 2K. Ingress is prevented by a Turcon® Excluder® 2. The patented hydrostatic pressure relief valve of Turcon® Stepseal® V avoids over pressure and system damage. It has the advantage of low friction, improved leakage control, increased reliability and extended service life. Our solutions also feature in the lock cylinder, ejector cylinder, mold stroke cylinder and rotating injection unit.
