@coozman64 Have you ever seen an episode of the TV show? The movie had better visual effects for sure, but the show (aside from the occasional bad episode) had amazing and surprisingly intelligent writing for a Saturday morning show.

I watched this as a kid, but I can't remember if they got back home? I remember something about the "father" standing over some coloured crystal table and walking into a time port hole or something?
