I am highly suspicious that this fight was fixed to set up a rematch.

Schmeling was not a nazi.

He was forced into that role but in reality he actually hid two Jews during their persecution, and refused to even join the Nazi party, no matter how much Hitler himself tried to blackmail and bribe him to do so.

Well, but you have to consider that Max Schmeling was about 9 years older and obviously over the peak of his career at the time of the rematch.

Lets just say that both of them were great sportsmen.

Louis patient style didn't allow Schmeling to show off his skills. On youtube Schmeling vs Sharkey is a good fight where both men showed off some of their skills against counter punchers.

Neither man seems like the type to take a fall, considering that both are known for having had strong morals. Given that Louis was willing to sacrifice 4 years of his boxing career to join the army, it's just incredible unlikely.

If anything, you're just showing your racist side, by implying a white man couldn't beat Joe Louis.

You also don't seem to consider the fact that Schmeling was past his prime by the time of their second bout, at 33 years of age, which was a lot for a boxer in that era.
