That is true. In the early 1990s the standard uniforms were still the old, fugly vomit green ones so they tried to come up with something visually not attached to the old commie regime.
The military changed their uniforms since and the Castle Guard should follow suit, imho. But I certainly will not lose any sleep if they don't.
