I always pay money to homeless and such, even if they are tricking me. Cause you see. If they are so low, that they would put themselves in that position, then, they probably need it in some way.. Also, it makes you feel better. I don't believe in God, but I do however believe in humanity...

i would have given my truest first instinct of empathic understanding & Hoped to be right that there are Only good intents going on right now.. but in ANY case, if i hadnt any money on me in sucha scenario... i*d Still do as you tried to do, Look at the possible big picture that He*s dealing with, and just pause my little world's time for that moment.. and give them a Chance.

I took her card, didn't pay her for it, and she was gesturing to some kid about how I didn't pay her for the card, saying "man" repeatedly in her creepy deaf voice. I went up to her, tore the card in half, and laughed in her face. These people think they're owed a handout. Wrong. They're using their disability as a crutch. I work with a deaf guy, and he refuses to be treated any differently. He gets my respect. This woman, on the other hand, is a piece of conning garbage.

Furthermore, you gave this creep two more dollars than I would have. In fact, some woman came up to today while I was waiting for the bus and handed me a green card. It didn't have Santa Claus on it or anything, but it said how the person was deaf and that she sells these cards for a living. On the back it had hand symbols for common phrases.

Our world has changed so much, there are very few good samaritans, like the story in the bible. but most of the time, it isnt our fault, but the fault of our society, teaching us things that make us paranoid.

Because of what our society has done to us, we are no longer the superior species we should be. an animal would help another in need. but think, will humans do the same?

Well, I know how you feel, because when you started telling me this story, and showed the card, the first thing I thought was "is it a fake?"

So, if it was me in your position, I probably would have done the same as you, and felt bad later on.
