On January 27, 2007, this video shows a take-off from Solberg airport in Readington, NJ. A large hangar from the 1940's exists on field, and there are two runways as well, one of them being grass. The runway we took-off on was asphalt, and
has a length of 3,735 feet with the last 735 feet of the runway being grass. The other runway (13-31) is completely grass and is a whopping 200 feet wide, rather level and drains well. There are, however, numerous deer and other wildlife that like to call this runway home, so care must be taken if you are planning on landing on this runway, especially in the evening hours.

  • It's a 1964 Cessna Skyhawk, retrofitted with a Lycoming O-360 180 Hp. And yeah, it really climbs :)....Glad you enjoyed the video !!!

  • Wow! That Cessna really climbs! Is that a XP Skyhawk or an SP?
