Based on a true story, HULA GIRLS (Fura gâru) is a heartwarming comedy about coal miners' daughters who took a once-in-a-lifetime chance to escape their monotonous lives, only to become unwitting heroes to their depressed mining town as well as the whole of Japan.

@Amoniphax
It's both drama and comedy.
It's based on a true story too... and the place is in north-east Japan, about 50 kms south of the Fukushima power plant. "Hawaians", the theme park they created, was closed because of the tsunami damage, but reopened very recently.

I liked the part where the girl danced for her mom when her mom walked in on her to give her the package.
