Hey Strokes Fans, this sound familiar?
Davie and the boys may not have been the first to tear it up to this song, but they're one of the best and have been out there doing it since the 1960's. Oct 9, 2005

  • Just getting into surf music again after all these years and i thought the Ventures was the only surf band besides the Surfaris and the Chantays.Davie Allen and Arrows rock on dudes!

  • If you're in the LA area this weekend (July 15, 2006), there's a mega surf rave up at Safari Sams. Davie will be on the bill with the Insect Surfers and the Boardwalkers! Go! Travel! Be There!

  • None of the above played at the show I taped, but "Shapes of Things to Come" might go up as soon as I have a chance.

  • I first heard the opening to 'Footloose', then here comes the Gunn. Mr. Allen plays how he wants.

  • Jazzmasterish, looks almost identical, maybe a different named painted on.

  • Wonder the name of the guitar Davie's playing?

  • awesome!!!!!! cool version!

  • sounds good but timings off a little SLOW down

  • @HunterMann I agree. They probably should have studied my band's new Peter Gunn video before trying to perform this. You don't want to change classic songs like this too much. We took the time to learn the parts correctly and it shows.

  • I dig it, but what's all the rushing about? Mancini had the right groove, why mess with it. -a Blasters fan

  • Still going after all these years. His group did the song, Blue's Theme from the 1966 movie with Peter Fonda, "The Wild Angels."
