Back when I was a kid and watched this every week, it was puzzling. Early in the opening the egg looks like it has a door, then later to get out he has to kick off the end. Is this a one trip only interstellar transportation device? Was he just being destructive or was there a malfunction and the door not able to open? Can he repair the end and it can get used again? These things kept me up at night back then.
