Pokémon Emerald (BLIND) #001 - We begin with a bang... or a crash.

Something most people probably didn't expect me to do, some did, and some others I blatantly said I would.

Welcome to let's play Pokémon Emerald, blind version! My first introduction to an actual 3rd gen pokémon game. Gan I get over the downgrades from the newer generations? We shall find out. After the game crashes, of course.

I found a shiny patrat in Black, but it was killed by a crit before I could catch it... not that I would ever use a watchog for very long anyway :( also, lol tommy wiseau: oh hai Birch xD

13:56 - Definitely know how you feel, man. I've never legit captured a shiny in my life - the only shinies I have were traded to me. And I did once encounter a wild Shiny Poliwag in a *hack* (of a Gen 2 game; Gold, I believe?). That pissed me off, so bad. x_x;

You named your Torchic after...? Dear God, you remember. ^_^; I think I recall something about it too, that if the character limit on nicknames had been just -one- higher, I'd have called it "FlameOfHope", because it was intended as a Legend of Mana reference. Anyway, nevermind my musings, my point: Thank you. I feel honored, I really do. ^_^
