This video shows only a part of the Gnupa Forest, which has recently been logged by ForestsNSW as permitted by NSW government regulations. The devastation is obvious. 150 year old trees are NOT a sustainable crop and should be left in the ground. Unlogged areas close by were so moist they were supporting rain forest type vegetation. This ground is dry, unproductive and exposed to the elements.
You have to be joking. It's already 2 years and look at it.

@trichosurus it's called natural regeneration as it would happen after any forest fire event or storm damage....come back in 30 years and it will be as it was.

They do not replant. Forests NSW leaves that to mother nature and hopes for the best.

@gibshredcamel that may be but like anything but the fact is in my area we rip the ground and replant so like anything its all about prespicitive and how the video shows what is in that area but i still think it looks like a fresh cut and will be or has been replanted

@norcallogger very un likly at such high altitudes looks to me like pretty typical logging methods. i.e limbs strewn every where
gibshredcamel 1 year ago
from what i see this is a fresh cut with a slash burn that was probley a 20-40 acre cut and i couldent see but if its not already planted it will be by the next year this is the begining of revitulation of that land
