I tried to call a cab, instead of him stopping he just keeps on going and runs me over.

You have to press the "LB" button on the 360 controller. I dont know about the rest of the consoles.

@Amazingfingers123 Use the "Use" key (I have it set to Space, but it's not the default setting, just my preference), then when the cab stops, hold the "Enter Vehicle" key (F for me) -- notice that hold really means to HOLD the key until Niko is in a passenger seat inside the taxi, otherwise he'll just kick the driver out and jack the vehicle.
