How about a 3 cylinder version?
-
This is a car with its own style.

The engine is a Matchless, built in Plumstead about a mile from where I live. Matchless motorcycles first address was in my road.

Ah, but it's not a JAP -- it's a Matchless MX2, which happens to be a bit quieter than every JAP ohv engine I've ever heard. If I ever get around to re-shooting this I'll get sound of my crunchy shifting.

Freeman8128 -- it's been done, as has a 4-cylinder version with two Scout two-stroke twins. A bit nose heavy!

Yep, we Morgan three wheeler owners are all waiting to see how this works out. A local friend has ordered one.

supervanII, I see you have a three wheeler that's backwards! What others are in your collection besides a Robin?

No. There is no venue within 500 miles where I could race it with other early vintage vehicles and I don't consider it reliable enough! It has been on a few race tracks, though -- Shelsley Walsh hillclimb circuit in the UK (back in the 50's) and Road America in Wisconsin in 2004.

I owned this car in England in the 1950's. It is truly wonderful to see it today in such wonderful condition; a great credit to its American owner. In October 2008 I am going to the USA to see it again after over 50 years!

Poltag modestly doesn't mention that the person sitting in the car (in the black and white photo at the beginning of the clip) is him -- note the "L" on the front of the car, denoting him as learning to drive.
