@UltimateWheelman Yeah, thats true, but in this situation we could presume that Carlos did not drive it 100%, did he? I mean, he did not had to, right? And still car broke down...

@Aleksej79ns Taking it easy on a car should never break it. If he had driven 100% the car would've broken sooner.

@YiannisAletras Yes indeed... But if they passed the finish line of the stage, their timing would stop, and they would have more time to cool, or fix the car, if it would be possible...

@davorsertic exactly, if a driver slows down too much it is more likely that he will make some mistake... Because it is not the way that he is use to drive, right. Although this was a mechanical failure, but still I have that impression like You.

@davorsertic What people don't understand, is that it wasn't only 300m to the stage finish. They had to get back to the service after that too...
