@JohnMagillM Exactly. The best recourse is to disobey their unlawful order disguised as a "request". Stay calm, let them arrest you, file suit and buy a new car with your new found insurance settlement. They say ignorance is no excuse, well knowledge is. Also, sue the offending officer in the "Individual" capacity. $178 per month is sent to me automatically deducted. I love the American Legal Injustice system, works well for those that know how to play.

The US Supreme Court has already ruled countless times that you can film anyone in public anytime. As long as your not interfearing with law enforcement or emergenices in anyway.

She's correct. You cannot film on private property and you were clearly on. In some cities, buildings own a walking area or mall which they open to the public. Owners and their representitives can grant or deny access. However, you can film from public property which is the public sidewalk.
