NRL player Joel Monaghan from the Canberra Raiders has been caught on a photograph having sex with a dog. While the NRL claims that this could be a fabrication, there has been no denial from the NRL players.

@freddo2311 I'd never heard of the man before this media blitz came out, I don't follow NRL and I had never heard of him. I'd never heard this name before. So I pronounced it wrong. Thanks for assuming that my speaking is really significant, but this is just YouTube. I don't get paid as an ABC news reader, as a journalist and so on. This is YouTube. Just one mispronuncation of a name is common in journalism. I really don't see it as any big deal.

@saintfletcher I know people who have cerebral pulsy. That word used as an insult is abusive to the disabled. But you don't care about abuse, do you? This is the whole problem. Bullying is not tollerated. All this shit that NRL players think they have a birth right to, they no longer have. If you want to defend them, then you are going against the grain of Australian society that says no to sex abuse against women, children, and bestaility is illegal in NSW. He is lucky he was in the ACT.

I'm not saying I condone what Joel Monaghan has done however I'm sick of the same old arguement that people think is ok to have - "NRL players are all obnoxious biggoted pigs who don't respect women and/or their fans that look up to them" it's bullshit, I'm sure in other industries there are shitloads of alcoholics, sexual predators and people who are generally fucked up. On another note, if the 'saint' as he calls himself can't even say MonagHAN right how can he even pretend to know the story?

@Warmfortheform Just look at the statistic and their track record. Two years ago, in Kings Cross, the venues had signs on the doors saying "No NRL members permitted". Kings Cross banned NRL players as even by Kings Cross standards, they were just abusive. I know, I live in Potts Point and saw all the signs. NRL players are still only just permitted in Kings Cross, but then there is zero tollerance. Word is only. We don't take their shit any more.

@saintfletcher we no longer have the likes of Wally Lewis and Peter Sterling playing the game, it's evolved and whether or not you want to agree with me NRL keeps the sport economy of NSW going around. If you got unbelievably drunk (I've been pretty messy before) and bunch of 'mates' were egging you on to do something stupid you do it, I'm not saying it's right Im just saying that you wouldn't want it all over the media when you're already paying the price with our career.
