  • This is why Cannabis needs to be legal for the suffering!

  • The pain of this warrior for people who can't fight for themselves is palpable...when will this country realize he and other doctors are not the ENEMY...they just want to relieve human suffering!

  • Hi. I subscribed to your channel and have always respected and enjoyed your being forthright when talking about your experiences. That is refreshing. Mark

  • @ragged07 Marijuana was made a schedule 1 drug in 1973. I think the counterculture movement and the war in Vietnam were the two main reasons, but this was 40 years ago. You would think someone would have pulled their head out of their arse by now.

  • @screeningmimi The problem is, you do have doctors out there who run pill mills, probably about 3 percent of the phsycians who treat pain or addiction, they ruin it for not only other doctors, but for patients like me who have chronic pain. OxyContin Express (on YouTube) goes into this in depth. For the other 97 percent who are only interested in being good doctors, following the rules and treating their patients appropriately, they live in fear.

  • I am disabled due to chronic pain and am denied pain medication

  • Refreshing to see someone fighting for those who suffer.

  • Dr. Deluca, I'm sorry you don't practice medicine.

Your experience, compassion, and unique understanding of pain patients is so valuable, but our country doesn't value you because America doesn't value people in pain.

I think it's a Protestant-ethic thing. Pain is perceived as "in the mind" and we're supposed to suck-it-up, be macho and take the pain. Anyone who whines must be a wuss and therefore they don't deserve to live...or something like that.

I hope you keep speaking out.

  • You are a good man Dr. D. Nobody Can take that from you.

  • I have 3 herniated disks in my neck (Ice Hockey injury) and since I was taking 6 to 8 x 10MG/Hydro per day I was labeled as an 'addict'. So I went throw 10 days of withdrawal and now, I just live with the pain and removed myself from the system. I want to tell a doctor listen, I am in pain all the time, when I turn my head is hurts bad, I should be able to get an opiate medication, and I do understand the addiction that comes with it. But I dont even do that because I lost faith.

  • I never watched this before. It just adds to my depression and chronic pain! We hurt!
