HE IS ONE OF THE YOUNGEST GREATEST GODS OF PIANO IN THIS CENTURY!!!!!!
Check out more videos of him here in youtube. He is amazing....unbelievable technique but even more impressive musicality and touch sensitivity. If you hear him live you'll be mesmerized at how he brings out different colors and sounds out of the piano.
I think I was at this concert. It looks like the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami. Anyone knows?

BUT, as a big fan of Kissin's Rach interpretations, i had to force myself to give kempff95 a thumbs up for his comment. I am perplexed as to why Kissin played this piece with sooo much rubato and with a sort of "back-and-forth" sea-sick character. What a surprise, as this is a recent performance, not a performance of an immature 20 years ago. Hmmph.
Hate my comment if you wish, i'm just thinking out loud.

mozard was a composer, evgeny is a pianist. how can you even put them two in the same sentence? not to mention they lived in different centuries. plus that the comparisons thats going on is the cancer of youtube.

Kissen was probably trying ti get out of there as quickly as possible - the 'Minute Waltz' - come on he just thought I'll bang this out and they'll clap like seals and I can go home.

Veramente non sono io a dirlo ma il mio amico che mi ha invitato al concerto a che sedeva al mio fianco...
Era un apprezzamento verso questo bis che non era assolutamente previsto ed è arrivato quando molti stavano già andando via... Penso alludesse al gesto disinteressato e gratuito di Kissin...
