Mason Jennings is far and away my favorite musician and without a doubt the best kept secret in the music industry today. The Field was on his latest album "Blood of Man" and the lyrics have haunted me from the minute I heard them the first time. This memorial music video is in honor of all the men and women who have fought for our freedom as well as the innocent victims of war.

As a father and educator, the desensitized view on war stemming from video games, some videos on youtube, and even some media outlets frightens me. We must get veterans in our schools to share the truth about what war is really like and the devastating effects it has on the troops fighting and those witnessing the destruction. I don't think anyone in their right mind wants war. However, some people in this world will never accept a country where freedom is a right and everyone has the opportunity to be as successful as they choose to be. To protect Life, Liberty, and Happiness unfortunately war has to be a result in some situations.

I own none of the pictures, videos or music used in the making of this memorial video but am protected under Section 107 of the US Copyright Law on Fair Use. Thank you to those who captured these images and to Mason Jennings for his music.

A special thank you to all of my family members and friends who have fought for our freedom especially my grandfathers who fought in WWII... Grandpa Dick Teckenburg in the Marines and Grandpa James Journy in the Navy.

  • wait...... i have nothing against the people of the states but u wouldn t have problems if u stoped attacking countrys for their petrol and killing the people and supporting the wrong government

  • @THEOFIRE99 so sitting back and watching HItler murder innocent Jews or Saddam test biological weapons on innocent kids is ok?

  • Many American citizens have no idea what it is like to serve their country and take for granted what our military service men and women go through to protect all Americans Freedoms. Many are complacent ignorant fools that say stupid things when they have no clue what it is like to be in the boots of the true American Hero’s that are fighting for them. True Americans will Never Forget your Incredible Valor. I say God Bless our Fallen Hero's and thank you from every fiber of my being.

  • @faustmanv very well stated. Thanks for the comment.

  • Much Love Brothers and Sisters!

  • Make no mistake... The first reference to "if I were the president" was NOT Obama... it was Denzel Washington. The difference... one is dignified and respects our country and all those who served... and the other is our president.

  • We looked the other way while Saddam gassed his people .In fact at the same time we were giving him billions to fight Iran. It took 20 years for us to recognize his lack of humanity? That is a poor example to use for justification of our invasion of Iraq.

  • @babydollrose20 where do i give facts ... ok if your right give me some country today that you help . nicaragua ?? mozambique ?? afghanistan ?? iraq ?? iran ?? . yes these country are so the best to live in today thanks to your help

  • @THEOFIRE99 Why dont you get a few more facts straight before you make uneducated comments. Our country like everyone else's has made mistakes and has done things we probably shouldn't have but we have also done things that have helped other countries.

  • @gteckenburg they never found the weapons come on damit

  • @THEOFIRE99 Yeah, we all know Iraq was a mistake, but there is no keep on attacking to it. It was one mistake that can't be taken back, Thanks to Bush deceiving the world. Btw, the world supported the Iraq War at first in case you forgot...

  • @Gracedosh I'd like to thank your son for his support :]

  • My favorite anti war song

  • @THEOFIRE99 come on man u didn t attack them for that ..plz watch a channel named representative press or look at a vid called *if americans new* and then look at the channel plz u must
