Westboro Baptist Church

A video I made for my speech class on the Westboro Baptist Church and the dangers of fundamentalism, (or extremist fundamentalism as some may have it).

I did also forget to mention that the man in the first group shot is, in fact, a reporter, and not a member of the Phelps family. All of the images are from web searches. My apologies for the lack of creativity but the purpose was just to be a visual to aid in a persuasive speech (and I think it adequately serves that purpose).

Second, college professors, for the most part, don't give grades based on personal politics in modern society.

Third, I approved your comment, and it was a direct attack on me. "The person who threw this video together" just doesn't waste much time on Youtube.

Fourth, and finally, I don't see how you can possibly generalize and say that my opposition to this type of extremism means I think ideas are dangerous. You are quite mistaken, and what those children have are NOT ideas.

The reason they've never picketed an Orthodox Church is because they'd have to stand for a 3 hour liturgy (of course they could bring lawn chairs). Worshiping God is too boring for them, but telling people they're going to hell is a lot of fun!
