I'm really starting to get upset about this because this show was great no other teen show holds a candle to this one (degrassi came close and Friday Night Lights is in a different category). We need this show! Can somebody start a petiton please. Anyone have connections to Brian Elsey?

now i'm kinda sad that theirs not gonna be a season two. Everything they said about skins was exactly how i feel about the show. They genuinely cared and i may now start a petition to bring season 2 back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've said this once, and I'll say it again.
The show is ADAPTED for the american audience. This means that american writers have collaborated with the original ENGLISH writers in order to translate scenes in a way that relates what AMERICAN TEENAGERS are going through, in the same way that the english version of the show portrays what ENGLISH TEENAGERS are going through. The thing everybody is arguing about is not the different versions of the show, but THE DIFFERENT CULTURES being portrayed.

And all of you really don't know what you're talking about. The US AND UK version are made by the same creator- insulting this version for saying its stolen by America doesn't make you a loyal fan, it makes you an idiot for not knowing who made it exactly.

Maxxie was the most boring character in the UK version imo. I for one am looking forward to Teas character development. Also, this is not a "remake" of S1 of UK Skins. There are 2 episodes that are basically the same. Other than that they are 2 different shows. Comparing them is completely pointless. Take it as it is and if you don't like it, that's cool, it's just not your thing. I'm a hardcore Gen 2 fan and don't necessarily think this shows amazing, but I'm intrigued. We'll see what happens.
