Long overdue and highly anticipated video showcasing what I use to make my cover videos. Hopefully the last to include me actually talking.

  • Why do u change out the pick ups? what kind difference in sound do u get? and with ur POD can u connect that to an AMP?

  • @punkrockdavid

I found out over the past few years that I tend to like some pickups more than others. I find that some suit certain styles better than others, so I usually end up switching out pickups when I think it will benefit my sound for what I feel that particular guitar is best at. The sound difference depends on the exact guitar. Each has it's own character. You can connect the POD to an amp...commonly by just running the 1/4" output to the clean channel of an amp and letting 'er rip!

  • Which model pickup is the SD clone?

  • I'm 90% sure it's the Vintage 59 Classic Alnico V.

I know the bridge is the Crunchy PAT...neck is the V'59 if my memory serves me right.

  • Brilliant video tee! Thanks and thanks for all the other vids you do! They really help!

The quality of your videos are superb!

Man, I used to play the PISS out of some Misfits songs like 6-7 years ago. You don't even wanna know.. As far as playing with the drums...I used to just strum with the snare to get a feel for the timing on the chords(still do when I'm learning a song) and then using the muscle memory for that pace, I just strum twice as fast, and faster, to match pace with the recorded guitars. Start slow and be on time, then get progressively faster. Remember, speed is a product of accuracy!

  • @tee5150II like I am having problems keeping up with the drum beats. I am used to the usual ramones, mifits style. By the way I used american jesus for an analysis in English class. Best grade I ever got. Bad religion songs really advanced by vocabulary

  • Strumming lesson you say? Their recordings have all kinds of strumming patterns from what I can tell...any songs specifically I could use for an example? I've got a specific pattern that I usually use, for better or for worse, but I doubt there's much interest in what I'm doing by habit.

  • please do a lesson on bad religion strumming style lesson

Thanks man, that's all really awesome to hear. I'm trying to get back in the groove of doing a couple songs a month at least, hopefully sooner than later. I use the fisheye lens for two reasons, 1) I like to show the whole scene as far as not having a random torso playing guitar in the frame the whole time, and 2) it was expensive so I need to justify buying it. I may switch to a different camera soon, or I can set up my camera with a different lens. Stay tuned..
