Rather sad they want to "move" the Magnum centre (although one nearer the town centre would be easier to get to). Will the new centre have all the flumes and outdoor pool and whatnot that the magnum has? It was a great loss when Ayr swimming baths (The Citadel) lost its flumes. I wouldn't want the (far better) ones at the Magnum to disappear too.

The new leisure centre is a North Ayrshire Council project. Designs are currently being finalised, and these will go to the Council for approval. If the designs are approved, the aim would be for a planning application to be submitted in May, prior to which there will be a 12 week public consultation period. Your best bet is to check North Ayrshire Council's website for news.
