@anssupernova Disagreed. Both Patty and Angela gave suburb performances. You want to talk about Oscar's mistake was giving the Departed as Best Picture. No dialogue, just a lot of FUCK by DiCaprio, Nicholson and DeNiro.

Lansbury was chilling, but Patty Duke was stunning in a difficult role that was most certainly supporting to Anne Bancroft's excellent performance.

Angela Lansbury delivered one of, if not, the best supporting performances ever recorded on film and should have this Oscar on her mantle. Patty Duke should have been in the Best Actress category with Anne Bancroft - with Bancroft still as the winner. This was a huge disappointment, especially when it seems that Duke was put in this category so as not to split the vote with Bancroft. Yet another of Oscar's biggest mistakes.

I would have given this to Angela Lansbury because she was brilliant and really supporting unlike Duke who was really leading.
