'The Christmas Bristolian' - 12/12/09

An early start to see 6024 'King Edward I' on its last mainline jaunt of the year before it heads off to the West Somerset for the winter maintenance and to take part in the Winter Steam Festival. In this video we see the King just after coming off shed running through Bristol Temple Meads, complete with headboard and headcode. Then moving to Sydney Gardens in Bath we see the train just after its stop at Bath Spa.

Cheers, she took me by surprise at Temple Meads, came round from the depot and i didn't have anything out! And yeah anyone who was at Sydney Gardens would have got a great shot!

Brilliant Video, I got some shots of The King deaprting brom bristol. I was supposed to be up on the footplate at temple meads but the king didn't arrive in time at bristol in the morning so i couln't. I'm off to see the King On the 29th! Can't wait, Got my rover tickkets!

Very impressive, YouTube seems to be well awash with vids of this train, I think some must be coming on before it even arrives!
