Originally released on June 8, 1940 (Blue Ribbon re-issue September 24, 1949); this was not only Chuck Jones' homage to Walt Disney but also Warners' last-time-out effort at imitating Disney.

Aw, didn't Tom look happy when he and the bird returned home from the blizzard? And wasn't Tom's dad happy when Tom came back and used his beard as a nest for the bird? Wasn't that a beautiful cartoon? :')

Chuck Jones once said this cartoon was his attempt to duplicate the Disney style of animation. He came pretty close, doncha think?
