Sequel to Summer Lovin': Jonas Edition (Chapter 2 Part 2)

"I can't seem to find the heartbeat." the nurse said, continuing to look. I looked at Nick, he looked just as worried as I felt. "Do you drink or smoke or do anything that could have hurt the baby?" she asked, cleaning the gel off of my stomach. "No. Nothing. I had plenty of rest, I ate healthily. Why? What's wrong?" I asked, feeling tears spring to my eyes. "I'm sorry to say but you seem to have had a miscarriage." she said, walking out of the room.

Nick's arms were immediately around me. I couldn't hep but cry. I just lost my child. How couldn't I be upset? We sat there hugging for a few seconds before Kevin came in. "The nurse let me in. Is everything alright?" he asked, sitting on the edge of the bed. "I had a miscarriage." I said, pulling away from Nick. "Josie! I'm so sorry." Kevin confessed, putting his hand on my arm.

I quietly got up and changed my clothes. I didn't care if they were watching me. I needed to get out of the uncomfortable gown I was wearing. Once I finished changing, the nurse was back. She apologized and told me I could leave. I wasn't as sad as I should've been. I was happy as long as I could be with Nick. Kevin drove us home. It was already 5:00 in the morning. I took a shower and changed into my pajamas right when we got home. I didn't want to start crying again so I slept in Nick's bed with him. We laid there for awhile. He held me in his arms and stroked his hand through my hair. I drifted off to sleep.

I woke up to total darkness. I was extremely confused. I went to sleep when the sun was rising. I didn't understand how it was now dark. I rolled over and looked at the clock, fiding it to be 8:00 p.m. I shot up and looked around. I was still in Nick's room, but he wasn't there. I opened the door and walked down the stairs. The only one I found was Joe. I didn't really want to talk to him, but I wanted to know where Nick was.

"Hey Joe." I said, in less of a question form than I'd pleased. "Hi Josie. How're you doing?" he asked, standing a few feet in front of me. "I'm alright. How're you?" I questioned, crossing my arms over my chest. "I'm good. I heard about the baby. I'm really sorry." he said, surprisingly sincere. "Oh...yeah...so do you know where Nick is?" I asked, quickly changing the subject. "Uhh...I saw him go downstairs awhile ago. He's probably still down there if you wanna go look." he said, heading towards the basement. I could hear Nick's voice. I couldn't think who he'd be talking to. Maybe Kevin. But it sounded like he was...moaning. I immediately felt dizzy. I thought we were going to get back together. Apparently not. I needed to get out of there before I broke into tears. As I was making my way up the stairs, I heard Nick moan my name. I walked back down, preparing myself to see what was around the corner. I peeked around the corner, only to find Nick masterbating, while thinking of me.
