  • I have seen some of the same abuse in Boston and Los Angles in the past without the aid of a video cell phone to document. Have to give Simon credit for having the guts to follow through. Let's not forget that sometimes Police often to deal with harsh realities on the streets and many are admirable people, but when they go too far citizens need to have the freedom and right to call them on their actions without being harassed. Let's all stay vigilant.

Agreed...They are suppose to hold the 'highest standards of conduct', but seems that isn't the case. I wonder if a memo went out after a few cases of police brutality being filmed; arrest them for 'wiretapping/eavesdropping. It sure seems that way. Law enforcement went on an arrest binge, arresting all who defy them. They still use intimidation to get citizens to stop filming - "if that has audio I will arrest you" - "If that has audio, I will arrest you for a felony"

Of course. On Aug. 31st the Federal Court of Appeals - Ruled that Americans have the right to film police officers in public, covered by their 1st amendment constitutional rights. Glik, sued for violation of his 4th amendment rights, of which the officers tried to argue they were 'immune' to prosecution because it was not 'clear' that there was a violation of his 1st amendment rights. The judge denied that claim. This is a significant case, now a case law, which helps citizens.

  • How do you get arrested for taping? I don't get that. AmeriNazica is getting bullshit anymore.

  • I don't know how you guys got started with all that bullshit, it's almost interesting BUT can you stop for GD second and see the cops beating the hell out of this kid! WTF is going on, it's great people at least have the courage to film it and press for justice, but can anyone stop it?
