Building Friends (by Steviestrings)

I found that everywhere I've lived, from the east to the west, to the north and south you have to learn how to make friends. Sometimes you make quick friends and thats not bad. Thier not the ones that come to see you when your ill, or in much trouble. Then there are friends that take a long time to make. There is effort, and patience. I heard my grandfather tell my cousin that his wife was if fact his best friend. ...that moment has left its mark on me. To this day threw good and bad they are friends, lovers and companions. I think that is what we all should work tward as a building block for many things in life. ...simply friendship. Not an acquaintance but someone you care enough about to go that extra mile to help or take the time to listen to. Something like that takes time to build and without work and prayer, honesty and integrity you could never really have true friends. ...the kind that care enough to be positive influences and not enable negitive patterns to grow.
