I had the opportunity to film for this band at Rock the Resort 2011. This festival was headlined by 3 Days Grace, Saving Abel and My Darkest Days. The festival is held at Clay's Park outside of Canton, Oh. It was a great experience and I had a blast hanging out with Marco, Kiana, Jim, Jason and Matt.
Fans and media have praised Curse Icon for their distinct melding of elegant melodies, captivating vocals, and pounding rhythm. They are a dark-edged power group whose essence is defined by hauntingly dynamic vocals and rich sonic textures. With a unique style that bridges alternative, metal, and industrial genres, they shine in an otherwise bleak wave of today's prepackaged music. Their songs are melodic and structured, embracing lyrics as a focal point. From the ambitious sensibility of "Broken", to the melancholy surmise of "Down", they have found a niche that sets them ahead of the curve. It's their powerful live show however, that burns a lasting impression upon the audience's mind.
