  • You're right; most of the reviewers were given the Heutiful steamer for free. I bought the thing, and I wish I could have at least gotten a discount. :-/ Trust me, I asked. If he weren't so busy giving out product for free, maybe he could offer some deals to paying customers. Just saying.

I love the steamer though. This item has helped improve the moisture and overall feel of my hair. My hair is now soft, and my bf can't keep his hands out of it. Everyone's happy. :0)

  • @GigiFeria oo touchable hair ..Nice!!!. My friend said the same thing about the steamer. Black owned businesses I love, trust me I do, but if I know the business is solely based on China wholesale (lord knows those working conditions) I just think that we should weigh the options and figure out if we need it, and need to support. Is the money helping others besides the business owner.??? I know that is the whole point of business. but when do you draw the line btwn exploitation & biz

  • @AFRICANEXPORT This natural hair community is such a fast growing niche market that consumers and uneducated natual and those who have adopted "new age" regimens and rules are easy targets. Listen to me !Forreal. I mean I am happy to support a mother, a women with a family making products, jewelry, writing books. But this business is build on RESALE WHOLESALE, and while the product is benefitial its not neccessary for beautiful hair which is part of the marketing.

  • Good video. I did a review on the Huetiful steamer (which I bought) and I love it. I think if you are having problems with moisture and splitting hair, then it will be a great investment. I think your warning goes with any"natural" hair products out there now. There are so many. Health is more important than hype. For me, the steamer has been invaluable, and has done more for me than any conditioner, plastic bag, hooded drier, etc. But that's me. Love your hair!!!!!

  • @ForeseeNatural Thank you , people need to make educated decisions on what they purchase. The products out on the market I dont doubt are good and have benefits. But the element of advertising and marketing needs to be considered, and people be less impulsive. I think subconsciencely people buy into THE PERSON and THEIR HAIR and a small part is the product itself.. especially if your newly natural and you have hair growth goals ~keep it real

  • what did u use in ur hair. Is thsi a twistout?

  • @koelie41 I used the Bear Fruit Hair Desert Moisturizer and Leave in conditioner initially, and spray with a moisturizer daily. Coconut oil when needed

    ~keep it real

  • @verbition I see what you're saying but we as naturals also tend to turn into product junkies, using the "how much money did i spend when I was relaxing and wevin every 6-8 weeks." Like we like, "Oh this 16oz jar of Miss Jessie's that I'll prolly have to buy every 2-3 months may be $50 and this Denman brush maybe like $30, but think of how much less I'm spending than when I was relaxed"....it makes to sense, same crazy spending...

  • Ladies, I purchased my steamer online from LCL Beauty for $89. I have to say their customer service was great because it stopped working and within days I had a new steamer. I have always received steam treatment as a natural/perm. Currently, I'm natural BSL but I get my hair pressed. To make sure that I have added moisture to combat the heat, I steam my hair prior to a press.

  • I see a lot of people discussing the price, however how much money did most of us spend every 6-8 weeks getting a relaxer or putting weaves in?

Investing $90-120 for something that may be very helpful in moisturizing your hair doesn't seem so bad.

  • DONT LISTEN TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN NECK LENGTH ON YOUTUBE FOR OVER A YEAR!!!

  • i think you would look a little better with your hair away from your face

  • @GigiFeria I tried all the deep conditioning methods, electric heat cap, microwave cap (like this) and wet towel method. Steamer is far different it litterally infuses moisture into the hair follicle opens the scalp pores and makes the hair fat, by plumping up the hair shaft. I like it, however this is excellent advise given by African export as well.

  • @GigiFeria I went from having permed my hair for 24 years to natural January 30, 2010 without the big chop. I had heard of hair steaming but I couldn't find a great deal of info on the internet about it last year. After reading what i could find I decided to go ahead and purchase a steamer, I must say that I wasn't really impressed, however, I still had mostly permed hair. I went back to my steamer about 6 or 7 months later and I must say that it works far better on natural hair.

  • @AFRICANEXPORT what hair moisturizer do you use daily?

  • First time and do I need a steamer??? I've used steam room, plastic caps, wet towel under dryer for yrs. From permed to locs @ hip level, I continue to maintain my own hair. The point is, this is w/o the FUSS , which was my reason for buying a free standing steamer under $90.00 in the1st place. It wasn't based upon "I gotta have it".

Just knowing the benefits and actually seeing it for myself, was enough for me to decide for me only......

As anything else, we make our own choices.
