  • No cars can match the interior of Brit cars, wood & leather heaven.

  • True, but try selling a Mustang or Z06 in Europe where the fit and finish quality is expected to be much higher then you understand why they wouldn't sell, unless given away for a bargain basement price. The odd Mustang sells well in the UK because of the price, but there is no way that it is up to typical European standards.

  • I Love this car and the Aston-Martin DB9, more.

  • I wish the rear seats could spit and fold down like my old 1991 Toyota Supra.

  • maybe they might be talking about different values cuz some cars in here and usa have the same hp. so i guess they aren't measuring from flywheel and i think there wouldn't have been more difference-more than 7hp-i just guess though. it might probably be due to emissions validation, like u said.

  • Although they're in different sectors they do have a relation. Front Engined RWD V8, with muscle type high torque performance. They just apply it in different ways. Where as Jaguar uses advanced suspension systems, the Ford uses old school tech. The ride on the Jag adapts according to use, the Ford is one size fits all. I tell you one thing, both have got soul!

  • Sorry that's three points not two. Just one thing I will say, It's a damned fine car and I know a few of the designers that worked on the project. But wait 'til you see the XF in the flesh - It is just incredible!!!

  • Couple of things - In Europe we have less strict emissions validation than in (primarily) California, so there is more room for manoeuvre in terms of performance tuning. It may be that they are measuring from the flywheel and not at the wheels. Secondly the value of PS DIN and HP is slightly different.. so a 420hp car maybe 400 PS here - I remember Jaguar got into trouble because of this.
