The Assyrians were the first people to employ a standing army, using recruits from conquered nations to put 200,000 men in the field. The Assyrians' best-known development was their use of two-wheeled chariots and cavalry.

    thats not true, assyrians not only have the proof of continuity, not just by assyrians them self but also historians and other scholars, and lately with in 10 years or so there was a DNA test with ethnicity of the world population and assyrians DNA are completely different from arabic and kurdish people. kurdish people try bringing assyrians into there heritage just like arabics tried to as well. please do NOT take my word for it, do some research and not only in one source, but a couple

  • @axvm2 you are a fucken idiot, you do not know what the fuck your tslking about, i suggest you shut the fuck up becuz you do not.know anything about Assyrians. Assyrians are good people , and good Christians, infact Jesus spoke their language which is called Aramaic. Go bless the Assyrians.

  • I think the moral here is in modern war you get off easy.

  • assyrians were the cunts of the middle east. they were cowards who eventually got their asses kicked

  • As result, Rawlinson was surprised during his research to discover that the founders of the Mesopotamian civilization were of Kushite origin. He made it clear that the Semitic speakers of Akkad and the non-Semitic speakers of Sumer were both Black or Negro people who called themselves sag-gig-ga “Black Heads”. In Rawlinson’s day the Sumerian people were recognized as Akkadian or Chaldean, while the Semitic speaking blacks were called Assyrians.

  • @AsSyRiAn818 The first scientific excavations there were conducted by a German expedition (1903–13) led by Walter Andrae. Ashur was a name applied to the city, to the country, and to the principal god of the ancient Assyrians.

    The site was originally occupied about 2500 bce by a tribe that probably had reached the Tigris River either from Syria or from the south

  • @JB19954 right they extinct since 612 BC(The fall of Nineveh shocked the ancient world. The Jewish prophet Nahum described the Median armies advancing to the city that had once ruled the Near East.

    An attacker advances against you, Nineveh. [...]

    The shields of his soldiers are red;

    the warriors are clad in scarlet.

    The metal on the chariots flashes

    on the day they are made ready;

    the spears of pine are brandished.

    The chariots storm through the streets,

  • I am an Assyrian, to all , please do not listen to people who arw racist and fascist, these people try to bring down other people en to put themselves up. These people are sick, Assyrians have always been under attack by these people, we do not care what they say, we know who we are and what their ancestors have contributed to civilization.

  • @JB19954 saying that assyrians exist in this modern age is like saying that sumerians or babylonians exist, The so called assyrian nationalism was created by the british in order to divide iraq on secterian lines, The syriac church is diverse, any one can be a syriac from an indian to an arab from a kurd to a turk from an persian to an armenian, they are just Syriac Christian Kurds.

  • @axvm2so anyone from ivory coast is french cos they were ruled by french or the british are roman and danish because they were ruled by the romans and vikings? Assyrians have been around for 4 thousand years unlike britain where they still lived in caves I'm not kurdish my mum is british and my dad iraqi but saying assyrians don't exist is like saying any race of people that have been conquered at any time don't exist

  • @axvm2
