It's too bad that the media often replaces the word "pro-life" with "anti-abortion", but whenever they talk about the other side, they never replace the word "pro-choice" with "pro-abortion".

@kjbhlogkh The right to life and nonexistent right to potential life are very different. And look at yourself. The anti-choice lobby keep justifying bogus explanations so that they can expand government and throw more people in jail, just like they did with the other liberties Americans used to enjoy which are now gone for the sake of "preserving" life.

There are good lobbies and bad lobbies. The anti-choice lobby uses much more lies and tricks to sway votes than pro-choice ones.

@kjbhlogkh There is plenty of debate in science. That's one of the reasons why asking big government to imprison women and doctors based off the observations of some political lobby- not individuals- would be wrong. As long as that child is feeding off of nourishment provided directly by the mother and is only capable of existing because of that direct connection, it is part of the mother. Independent existence requires freedom from direct bodily nourishment provided by the host.

@VoiceHunter You said that because of independence that determines legal protection, and the truth is that it does matter if the fetus is alive, because you are talking about living human life being guaranteed their own basic rights! It does not matter if the baby is in the placenta, because you are talking about what sustains a separate life from the mother, and that is a fact! As for independence then it is just fine to deny other groups of people their own basic rights from what you said!
