  • Although I know this song very well, I could hardly understand a word of what was being sung. As for pronunciation: if you do not roll your r's (even in English!), 'present' sounds like 'pleasant' for people in the audience. And why on earth do people nowadays think they have to wave their hands all the time??? It is soooo distracting and serves no good at all! Especially the last gesture was so tacky... Lieder singing is not the same as opera.

  • I hope there isn't a mic in there -- but the lid needed to be all the way down. The room is WAY too resonant for the lid to be up even a little. Just the timbre of the piano will overpower most any singer in this situation. Try recording a rehearsal from the back of the room next time.. You will find out that she is too loud (though not as bad as the other selection).

  • get the damn mike out of the piano. Can't hear a word he says!!!
