This is Bailey, a beautiful 16.1h Thoroughbred gelding.

This is the first time I met Bailey. He was a big strong horse, but magnificent.

He had such a presence and was a fabuloud eventer/ jumper.

We put in an offer and it was accpeted pending vet check.

The day before the vet check, the owner pulled out saying she wasn't going overseas anymore and was keeping him.

A few months down the track I called her but did not say who I was and said I was inquiring about the horse. She told me he was sold.

I wish she has been upfront with me. I was very upset, I was only 14 at the time and had my heart set on him.

She knew he was going to a great, experienced comp home and I don't know what happened!

  • thats sad, maybe it was meant to be, maybe he just wasnt ment to be yours, maybe he had underlying problems that she didnt want you to know about?

  • I'm really not sure what happened, nor will I ever know! But I definitely have the best little mare at the moment. She has a home for life and I know we will do great together. Currently competing pony dressage and hope to do well. We've come a long way since my other video of her with the resistance! xx

  • I'm so sorry about what happened to you! That was horrible of the owner. You are a great rider. I am going to ride a thoroughbred mare to take care of her and stuff. Do you have any suggestions?

  • It was terrible! But I have moved on and am on my 3rd horse since him!

Ride as much as you can and don't take any crap from the horse. You're the boss and there must always be a clear understanding of this.. there can be no shady borders! You'll have lots of fun! xx

  • heyy do u have any tips on keepin my strong horse under control coz this is all new to me

lovley horse by the way soz u didnt get him

  • You need to sort out whether the horse is strong or reefing (pulling on the bit/your hands) You can use half halts through your seat and hands on a strong horse. I'd be getting an accredited instructor out to help you out, it's hard to say without seeing you ride and also riding your horse for the feel of how he is pulling =)

    xx
