WARNING MEDICAL TOURISM NIGHTMARE IN SAN JOSE COSTA RICA - DOCTOR ALBERTO COTO

Doctor Alberto Coto Calvo was the Dentist. He broke my tooth causing 3 root canals preformed while in his care, Screwed up my Bite so badly that I now suffer from severe TMJ, left me with 10 open margins ( crowns are popped off my teeth ) I'm in constant pain on a daily basis. I can't eat or speak properly etc... Doctor Coto has now conveniently changed his Business name from High Tech Dental Clinic to "Implant and Cosmetics Solutions" and has moved his practice to Rohrmoser San Jose Costa Rica. I was threatened and almost charged with a felony for the crime of complaining publically about being butchered abroad. ( no freedom of speech in Costa Rica ) It is considered a very serious felony to speak against the reputation of a Costa Rican citizen no matter how bad they injured you. I was lucky to flee that country immediately before I was locked up in a foreign prison. I kid you not ! Details in this story are horrific ! This warning is worth the 5 minutes to watch for anyone considering medical tourism, medical vacations or medical travel !!! I'm so sorry to hear about your trouble. No one should have to go through that. I also went to Costa Rica, and the crowns started falling apart on the plane on the way home. I called many dentists and 3 dental schools, but none would consider fixing it. Could you tell me where you got your root canals done? You can private mail me if you want. I would never go there again, but I want to try and get the damage fixed. Thanks

I went to Nova University in Davie Florida. That's the closest dental school in my area. Most local dentists won't touch my mouth either because they're afraid of making my problem their problem. In other words, if you get butchered abroad it's very hard finding another dentist who will help you because they are afraid of a law suite when they go in your mouth and can't fix the mess. Once a dentist works on you here they are now responsible for your dentistry. Please warn others of your plite !

I tii have a mouth full of improperly fitted crowns by Dr Alberto Calvo Coto of Implant and Cosmetic Solutions. I returned last month and Dr Coto did not fix all his previous mistakes but did NOT pay expenses as he claims. Also he will not supply me with my patient info, report of work performed or my x rays both the copies I supplied him and the ones he took. I paid thousands of dollars for this...wasted money, time,energy and pain. AND after 2 trips, my teeth are still not right

Judith, if you went to Doctor Coto after watching the nbc news report that promoted Doctor Coto than you can sue NBC for a fortune because I sent nbc news both medical reports confirming criminal negligence against doctor coto and also before and after x-rays. nbc news refused to do a follow up story to warn the public. Therefore, nbc news is liable for law suites against them for anyone who went o doctor coto after seeing the news report in november of 2011 on air or on u-tube. Let me know !

Doctor Coto has changed the name of his company and moved locations. His new business name is " Implant and Cosmetics Solutions " and his new location is in Rohrmoser San Jose Costa Rica. I'm quite sure he'll change his business information over and over again !

Your Welcome. I've had 2 root canals done at my local dental school. They were $325 each instead of $1,100 each. You need to e-mail them your medical report from your local dentist. They will see from the report if it's an emergency and get you in right away if it is. If it's not then you'll have to be on the waiting list in which case it will take several months. It wouldn't hurt if you wrote them a note that you are in pain if that is the case. Good luck !!!
