  • Sorry that is NOT A BIRD TEST. If you look youll see a bright orange fan blade, that is filled with several grams of high explosives thats a critical failure test to make sure the cowling can take the impact of a engine blowing up. Its roughly 10 layers of carbon fiber rolled up around a steel mendral,

  • Just needs a bit of ducktape.

  • Thats a blade detachment test, used for insuring the blade and other parts that detach are pushed out and away so it does not cause damage to plane.

  • I agree, not a bird strike... but a blade out test.

  • Epic fail.. Back 2 the drawing board loosers

  • Turbine FAIL

    Video WIN

  • Will it blend? :-)

  • did i just hit big bird?

  • Yeah, this is a 'blade off' test. The casing should contain all debris for it to pass. The entire engine is written off in the process and no parts are re-used.

  • just jb weld it its ok....

  • si pasa eso en el aire huu pobre genteee

  • Passengers, we may experience a bit of turbulence, please fasten your seatbeats.
