as a guy, I certainly can't say about the "hottie part, but he is definately NOT a good actor.

This was the show displaying the most intense and diversified emotions of all sci-fi history!
such an awesome story, so much angst, and the parts where Scorpy screws Crichton's live over and over again!.. Damn, this character (John) must be the most "human" one ever!
seeing him going from the lost but nice bubbly geek from the beginning of season 1 to a tormented and nearly bitter man of action after all this... It is mesmerizing !
plus Ben's a hottie and a good actor! :P
