Part 2 of our look at the Nokia 5230 Nuron, the first Symbian S60 5th edition smartphone to be offered by a U.S. carrier. This 5800-like device is good looking and capable, but has some UI issues. More info: http://www.mobileburn.com/review.jsp?Id=9038

  • In every review of this phone people call it a smart phone. Funny thing about that is that T-Mobile tells me that this is indeed NOT a smart phone. Since it's not there is no data plan required and if you do want internet access on this phone, you only pay 10 bucks a month instead of 30. Even funnier is that this phone browses the internet better than my Nokia E73 which IS a smart phone. This has to be the smartest dumb phone I've ever seen.

If it's to lock your phone or w/e..Just hit the menu key. Go to settings. Tap the "Phone" icon twice. Scroll down to where you see "Phone mgmt." and tap on it twice. Go to Secruity then Phone and Sim Card. Then go to Lock code and punch in "12345" and you can set your own password from there.

  • Excellent review! I cannot believe how much this helped me speed up my use of features on the phone. Not raised on Symbian phones, I'm still stuck at the cell phones that came after the "bag phone" lol Thanks for this post!.
