  • There are some ways to cut down the weight of this mod. Instead of the aluminum extrusion pieces, just drill and tap a 1/4" set screw and add a GoPro tripod mount at the attaching part to the helmet. On the end of the aluminum round bar, drill a hole and insert a 1/4" bolt for mounting the camera. It will eliminate the bicycle or handlebar mount being used & reduce weight. The wood pieces could be fabricated in aluminum to reduce weight, Nice video to explain the basic spinner mount concept by.

  • @a1930ford Thank you for the great ideas! an i appriciate your input. Im planning on making a new more refined design now that ive goten better with metal working and building.

  • @popylocodropit SO true.. nice video mate!

  • Great Job!!

  • @snowboarddude222 STOP HATE -.- you fucking cunt .

  • Oops, meant YouTube in post below and not YouTune. Typo. Sorry. :-)

  • See my YouTune video I just posted today. It may help explain and answer the questions you asked of me. Thanks for your reply. The prototype I put in my clip today was a direct build from many of the ideas and thoughts that I have gathered from other's projects such as your's. I am always modifying my mounts, so any idea at all often helps in the process. The clip from me is located in my 1930 Ford posts as DIY Helmet Spinner Mod For My GoPro Camera. Again, thanks for your clip here and reply.

  • hi...thanks for sharing your design. Could you use (2) two GoPro Ride Heros..one for the camera and one for the helmet attachment and avoid building the block attachment? What do you think?

    thanks.

  • @a1930ford I a trying to make one of these as well. In my lack of machine skills, I failed to understand your instructions. like: Drill and tap a 1/4 inch set screw into what exactly? How would a tripod mount attach to the rounded adhesive helmet piece int he video. Also, the second part where does the bolt go, and how do you put the camera into the bolt without the handlebar mount? I know it may seem simple, but your help would be appreciated.

  • @popylocodropit ya i dont care about looks if the shot is good :) have fun with yur cam eh

  • Thanks for posting this video, as I love the creativity and can easily use it as a guide in building my different version of this same style mount. One never knows what may work and what may fail. The counter balance weights will be on mine, as well as a bolt added into the main housing to adjust the speed of the swivel as the camera swings about my head.
