  • He recorded another version of it in 41, with accompanment. But this is his recording and lyrics before Robert Johnston's in 36' with a few different lyrics

  • That may be true (I don't think it is) and I've heard Son House do a version of Walking Blues, but this isn't it. This is unmistakably Robert Johnson.

Where the heck did you guys learn to play the blues? Amsterdam?

  • @Jayel805 - yes, it is Son House. I know it might be hard to tell. If anything, it sounds like Charley Patton. But Son definitely had a 78 release called Walking Blues in 1930. Robert Johnson took the title and one of son's verses and created his own version 6 years later.

  • This is definitely not Son House. No way you can know about the blues and mistake Robert Johnson for Son House.

  • This vocal makes your hair stand up. Amazing.

  • I actually like the 1941 version, from The Clack Store - Son plays with his buddies

  • well you can hear johnstons 32-20 blues in this johnston may have wrote it but im sure the style of playing is sons and son tought this style to robert

  • well you can hear johnstons 32-20 blues in this
