Coober Pedy was a truly unique place. Never before had I seen 'dugouts' for homes. These homes have all the mod cons - except they are underground so the people can cope with the exteme temperatures. White Cliffs is similar to Coober Pedy.
The Northern Territory is home to the Devils Marbles (rock formations that have shaped over time to resemble marbles. The Pinnacles in Western Australia are rock formations formed by the elements.
Kakadu is massive and several days are needed to enjoy all the famous sites such as Jim Jim Falls and Twin Falls
Travelling overnight on the Greyhound Bus in an experience itself. The dark sky is covered with millions of clouds and the occasional Kangaroo attracted by the Highway Lights like to jump out in front of the bus - fortunately the bus breaks in time.
