  • what trail/trails did you take to get there? I have gone to ice lake twice so far and matterhorn once, im looking to explore more of the area.

  • @cyclonickitten We went on trail 1802, I believe it was called Tenderfoot Trail. It was a great climb, so pretty up there. You can also take the East Fork Wallowa River Trail from Wallowa Lake, which would go past Aneroid Lake. I'm hoping to go to Ice Lake this summer and climb matterhorn. I've heard that they are both great locations.

  • there are also trails on bear creek outside of wallowa, and on the north fork of the lostine river. the one out of lostine is a pain, but doable.
